Two former military elites taking merc jobs perform absolutely hellish battle tactics together.

A Batman who kills people is a bad Batman. Except for Terry because he is my special boy. Terry can drown a man it's ok. He can literally shatter a woman it's fine.

Chim saying that Gerrard is hanging out with Buck bc Buck’s dumb & it makes Gerrard feel better about himself like Buck isn’t the one that came up idea after idea in the opening arc to save people when they didn’t have any other options and were floundering.
Literally leave my guy alone. He might not be great at knowing what he’s feeling but he IS book smart as fuck & I will not take this slander 😤

*looks at Chloe and Sabrina* what if I make them intresting. what if I make them complicated and messy
kind of like AU??? Not canon certaintly
Chloe, who always got everything she wanted. She can have as many fancy jewelry, trendy clothes, new boats, and gorgeous accessories as she wants. She lives in the most prestigious hotel in Paris, if not the whole of France. Her room is bigger than the flats of some of her poor classmates. She has money, and so she can have everything she wants, as long as she can buy it.
Except subjects. She doesn't have subjects. She has hotel staff, she can order around some of her classmates - and yet it's not...It's not right. It's not the same. She wants...She needs a personal devotion to her and only her. She needs subjects that are loyal to her and not for her money. She doesn't really understand the difference but she knows that she can buy whoever she wants, but they won't be hers.
Her butler is the closest she has to the right servant. He knows what to do before she can even say it. When Chloe has a bad day, he gets her ice cream and puts on her favourite TV show. He drives her around to the most prestigious shops and holds her bags with new and expensive clothes. He stays with her even when she fires him.
Chloe believes it's because of her money. But deep down, she knows it's something more. She has known Jean-Luke since she was a small baby. He sees her more than her father does. Sometimes, he feels like more of a parent than a butler.
And then she meets Sabrina.
Sabrina, who stays with her no matter what. Who executes her plans - perhaps not always successfully, but nonetheless with no judgment. She plays all stupid games with her, she goes to the same shops as she and she carries her bags. She knows her favourite colour and that she doesn't like strawberries. She knows she likes honey crackers, despite them being cheaper than what she usually prefers.
Sabrina devoted to her - just the right amount. Just the right loyalty.
***
Since she was a little kid, Sabrina knew that the world is a cruel place. You are either born into a good position, or you aren't. You may stay at the bottom of the things or you can claw your way into a good position, that always will be worse than those who were born into it.
Sabrina is unlucky: her mother died when she was young. She is shy and doesn't have a lot of friends. She isn't particularly crafty or academically smart: her grades are just above the average, just enough to fool everyone that she is still smart enough. And she is. But not the Max-computer-genius smart
But Sabrina is also lucky: she knows how the world works and she doesn't have the same stupid optimism as her classmates, that if you believe hard enough you will get everything you want.
She also understands people. She knows how they work and for what reason they behave. She senses the true identity behind the everyday masks people put on to fool everyone and themselves. And in certain circumstances. If she plays her cards right. She can use those people to get a better position in life.
So, when she sees Chloe - she devotes herself to her. Because she senses that Chloe tries to buy off her loneliness with material objects. She knows that it doesn't always work, not to the extent Chloe wants. Sabrina knows that what Chloe wants and needs - is a loyal friend.
And Sabrina becomes this friend.
Soon enough, her father gets a promotion. Soon enough, her wardrobe is full of expensive clothes that Chloe doesn't wear anymore. Soon enough, she is invited to all the places she wouldn't even dream of visiting.
And well...she also gets to see a rare sight of Chloe, that no one, not even her father or butler have ever seen. And this side - this poor, crying mess, that believes that no one will ever love her - this is perhaps the best gift of them all.
Sabrina stays loyal to Chloe. Chloe gets a loyal subject. This is what everyone sees. This is not what it actually is.

They're not even trying to deny it anymore.
https://fandomwire.com/we-have-tried-to-set-the-stage-even-castlevania-nocturne-creators-know-we-want-more-alucard-for-season-3/
(Also, I don't give much of a damn about NFCV lately outside of me writing Sarabande of Healing. Ever since I discovered new things like Epic the Musical, my hatred for it is gradually being replaced by apathy).
Did they ever deny it?
Even though Nocturne is Richter’s story, Alucard stole the show with his appearance during the finale of the first season.
I wonder why they didn't just "adapt" SoTN instead, rather than wasting time with Richter. Clearly, Alucard is the one they care about.
The part where they explain his appeal is really funny. "He's a dhampir! He's super strong! But he also yearns for human connection which is #relatable!" and here i thought he was appealing due to the immense tragic nature of his character, how he's slave to his family's wishes and had to kill his father and is forced to live between worlds. nah, he's badass, that's all we care about. surprised they didn't say that he's pretty.
And this? Oh, this really reveals quite a lot:
While the human parts of Alucard are somewhat relatable, his vampire traits make up for something more aspirational.
Aspirational. I'm supposed to want to be more like Alucard because of his vampire traits. You know, that species that in the show mostly murders, dismembers, rapes, steals technology from and colonizes humans, but is generally painted as cool and superior? What exactly makes Alucard "aspirational", his dazzling the backward humans? His dabbling in human history because he feels superior to the masses (and leading innocents to die)?
Fucking hell.

helloooo. clearing out some of my recordings. posting this one because i figure many people didn't choose the more aggressive dialogues with owain (i certainly didn't in any of my 'for fun' playthroughs) but it gives way to a very interesting discussion on tranquility and personhood. weirdly, i find this to be a better analogy for neurodivergence than the times the series tried to directly address it. i wish the series actually allowed us to see a conclusion to the tranquil 'problem,' especially after da2's entire plot hinging on the mage-templar conflict and Inquisition's Big Reveals about the Rite.

lord its so dark in here the sahara desert of tsaritsa content you are like a shining oasis. your characterisation of her compels me & mihoyo would be hard pressed to top it imo.!! caaaaan i humbly request yr thoughts on her first meeting w a reader of any kind, or maybe even multiple kinds (sagau, sagau god au, isekai, etc) if you so desire...
it really is like a desert here. being the fan of a character we aren't getting until the last damn nation is driving me up a wall but i will persevere bc if nothing else i support morally bankrupt women in media. we r in a severe drought over here but i do my best. unfortunately nothing i say is ever coherent so pull out your translation notes its abt 2 be messy
also this got out of hand but thats bc first meetings w the tsaritsa are tricky to write + a LOT of her characterization lies in deeper exploration then just surface level yknow...NOT A DIG AT YOU this is just my excuse for rambling. gently pats the tsaritsa she can hold so much complexity i do not have the word count to delve into it completely :]
gonna talk cult au for a bit here though because that's 99% of my content. and honestly? she thrives in sub au's of the cult au like villain au + imposter au. it's basically made for her. i mean, early days, the imposter au had been going around for a little while but one of the first few ideas was the Fatui taking reader in so like. it kinda technically actually was. pretty sure cult au Tsaritsa popped up because of the imposter au. a lot of it's writers kinda left though which. man am i getting old or.
anyway.
there isn't much of a chance her first impression is all that positive. at best it's usually neutral, imo, but rarely if ever positive. specifically because i view the Tsaritsa as someone who isn't as fanatical as most of the acolytes typically are towards the creator. she's not exactly going to worship the ground you walk on unlike a certain geo lizard. which is partially why i think she thrives in the sub au's i mentioned.
imposter au, for example. she meets you at your lowest. there's no gaudy extravagance or pampering from the acolytes waiting for you because your own acolytes have turned on you. for all intents and purposes you aren't a "god" at all. which is why i don't think she meshes well with normal cult au reader. the Fatui are made up of outcasts, basically, and imposter au slots right in just perfectly. you're weak, at your lowest, when you meet the Fatui in the imposter au. and the Fatui can help you, too.
a mutual exchange, really. the Tsaritsa sees a tool she can use to one up the rest of the nations and especially Archons, and she has no qualms about you using her and the Fatui in turn. you both want something out of it, after all. whether you just want to be safe from the rest of the acolytes, or you want revenge, or whatever else..she'll give you the power to fulfill it, and she gains the strongest piece on the chessboard when all is said and done.
the best way i can describe the first meeting is "practical", i suppose. she sees an opportunity in you. the ultimate gamble. because if she "saves" you, and you dont trust anyone else because they tried to kill you, well..she holds all the cards, doesn't she?
but the Tsaritsa, imo, is just as capable of being just as fanatical towards you as anyone else. she just won't worship you as the creator. but as yourself? clawing your way back to your divine power and taking back what belongs to you? the Tsaritsa is, to me, a character who's character flourishes in long-term fics more because she changes a LOT between "just met reader" and after having been with reader for some time. she's practically apathetic at the beginning but a lot of her character, in my characterization, shines through LONG after the first meeting.
#asks#Anonymous#sagau#tsaritsa#like. am i explaining this coherently?? first meetings r GOOD and i could go on a tangent of like. first meetings w zl and make it work#but first meetings w the tsaritsa is like. you just cooked a 5 course meal. took one bite. called it a day.#so much of my characterization lies in the “after” of the first meeting#because her first meetings are generally the same. she's apathetic at best!! she does not gaf abt the creator in the SLIGHTEST#but show that you are more then the creator? that you do not cling to the title like a shield? that you do not rely on it?#youve got the worst person youve ever known ready to kill a man for you.#tsaritsa is very like. EXTREMELY hard to earn the trust of but when you do she will kill someone for you no hesitation no question#which is why she works SO WELL in villain au and imposter au!!!!!!!!!#esp if theres a fake “creator” calling you the imposter. she hates their ass and was .5 seconds from dethroning them anyway#you just made it 10x easier#also cant do just first meetings bc i am incapable of not shoving themes of love into every fic w her SORRY#tsaritsa going on a full multiple month long mental breakdown bc she is not in love with you but she would destroy everything for u..#(shes in denial)#tsaritsa and complex themes of love and what it means for the god of love to be incapable of feeling it + what it means when reader shows u#LIKE UGHHHHHH okay. i guess ill write another tsaritsa fic and put it in my vault#aka my drafts#i hold so many fics hostage there its crazy#this answered like 0 of ur questions sorry i see tsaritsa and black out and this happens#i just think first meetings dont let her character really come thru but my response got out of hand so uhhhhh everyone look away. please#putting tape over my mouth now so i shut up before this gets worse#basically tsaritsa gravitates more towards outcast reader rather then one who has already become accustomed to the adoration of the acolyte#does that make sense........#i havent slept in forever and im running on nothing but spite and dreams atp dont expect coherency when it comes 2 the tsaritsa from me#head in hands someone please stop me i keep rambling abt the tsaritsa it makes me go NUTS#lays down. explodes

About Toriel
Ok, you know how the first child's items are in the ruins? What if Toriel had years with that child, years to love and protect and be a mom again? For whatever reason, the child does not want to leave. Then the child dies. Maybe they are killed by a monster, maybe there's some sort of accident, but Toriel is devastated because she's lost a child all over again.
So she lets the next child leave, and the child after that, because she is too scared to love and lose again. It's like she's cursed to lose what she dares to love. She continues on, years and years of waiting, wondering why on earth Asgore hasn't just gone through the barrier and collected the rest of the souls himself.
What makes it worse is that now she's heard that some of the human children have killed monsters, human children that she let leave the ruins with barely any resistance. It's her fault that both the humans and those monsters are dead now. It doesn’t feel like she can do anything right.
She can hardly stand the guilt, but speaking to her friend on the other side of the door helps. They share jokes, talk about nothing in particular, and Toriel feels herself opening up more and more. A part of her is healing due to this time where she can set her expectations and guilt aside and just listen to a friend.
Then the final human falls down. That terrible flower is attacking them, but she takes care of him swiftly. It's strange though. He usually does his best to avoid her, and she knows that he knows that she visits the flowers at this time.
What she doesn't know is that this flower is her son Asriel, but it's not like he never told her. But Toriel didn't give the reaction her son was expecting. It's like she refused to believe that this flower is her son. Flowey thinks that she forgot him, that she moved on. But in reality, she was scared. Scared that if this really is Asriel, if she really believes and loves and lets herself heal, she'll lose him again, like she's lost everyone else.
Of course, she doesn't know any of this. Flowey has reset so many times that he's a different person now, unwilling to feel, just like his mother. But unlike Flowey, Toriel has some hope. She protected this child from the flower after all. Maybe she can protect them from everything else. Maybe she can love again without fear.
Everything seems to be going great for a while... but then the human asks to leave. Toriel is terrified of losing another child, and she knows that this is the last human they need to break the barrier, but she can't be responsible for the death of another child. She won't be responsible, so she decides to destroy the entrance to the Ruins. She'll never speak to her friend again, but that won't matter if she saves this human, if she breaks the curse that makes her afraid to love like she wants to.
But the first human that fell never left the ruins, a tiny part of her mind protests. She remembers the feeling of a cold, dead body in her hands all too well, something she wants to never experience again. She is still scared to love, but she's even more scared to be the reason a child dies. So, she makes a deal. "Prove yourself... Prove to me you are strong enough to survive."
So they fight. Toriel does not want to kill the human, only scare them back upstairs. But in an instant, no time for her to react, the human gets hit and collapses to the floor. She stands there shocked for a few moments before rushing to their aid.
The body is so warm... they could just be asleep, they look so peaceful lying there. But deep down, she knows. She has too much experience with this sort of thing not to know.
And this time, it really is her fault. All the guilt she felt before is nothing compared to this. All of those other times there was something else to blame, something she could be angry at during the hard times. But this time, this time she has no one to blame but herself.
Toriel remembers crying when Asriel and Chara died. But the tears won't come as she cradles this human in her arms. "This human..." She didn't even know their name. She feels a pain in her soul like she's never felt before, both dull and aching and sharp and hot, worse than anything she's ever experienced. But the tears still won't come.
All Toriel can do is hope in vain that somehow, some miracle can bring her child back.
........
When that miracle comes, Toriel won't remember the pain. It's better that way.

you would think that torture man shana “doesn’t like killing because then they can’t suffer anymore” solomon would enjoy an eternally regenerating quasi-immortal like zeke but he actually wouldn’t. at least not more than anyone else. shana deeply understands and appreciates the finality of death and life and it only gives his actions that much more weight in his mind i think does that make sense

I understand not liking all of Harris's policies. I understand not wanting her as president. I understand believing she will not improve things for the vast majority of people. what I don't understand is looking at the two choices we have and choosing to focus on how much she will not help, because if we're honest at worst she will maintain status quo, whereas Trump is vying to make it worse. like at a certain point you gotta man up and understand that sometimes you're not voting for who wins but rather who loses. why would you rather Harris lose than Trump

the last few months i've been watching one of my childhood best friends turn into an outspoken antifeminist and aspiring tradwife and start posting on insta about ✨the beauty of natural femininity 🎀👗✨ and ✨what feminism stole from us🤰💕💐✨ and ✨what life is like with natural gender roles 💖⛪️✨ and i knew this was happening to so many women my age and i knew it was awful and and terrifying but i really wasn't ready for how devastating it is to watch it happen to the girl i used to play superheroes with.
